Pre-conference Workshops of APPICON
Pre-conference Workshops form an important component of scientific activity of APPICON. The workshops are designed to provide a stage for hands-on experience of various techniques for Research,Teaching and Patient care. These workshops are organized by the experts who have years of experience in the techniques that will be showcased. The delegates, usually in small groups of about 20, have opportunities to directly observe and interact with resource persons who have extensive practical skills and experience.
APPICON 2024 will provide a framework for hosting a number of pre-conference workshops pertaining to the disciplines of Physiology, Pharmacology and Allied Sciences. The topics of immediate and future relevance inTeaching,Research and Patient care will form part of scientific activity of APPICON 2024. About 3-4 hours of effective time will be available for the conduct of the pre-conference workshops. The dates of pre-conference workshops will be announced in coming days and shall be intimated to all the members through email.

Submit your proposal for Pre-conference workshop
The APPI invites all the members to submit the proposal for Pre-conference workshops.
Mode of Submission:The submission of proposals will be done through the online portal appi.org.in only.
Selection of the Proposal: The submitted proposal shall be examined for the relevance of the topic, profile of the invited speakers and arrangement of logistics for travel and stay. The submitted proposals will be examined by a National Scientific Advisory Committee consisting of senior members of the APPI.
Guidelines for submission of the Proposal for Pre-Conference Workshops

The pre-conference workshops should be proposed by a life member of APPI.

These pre-conference workshops can be held at any location in the territory of India (preferably at the venue of the conference). The pre-conference workshops held at locations other than the venue will be referred as ‘Satellite’ pre-conference workshops.

The duration of pre-conference workshops will be 3-4 hours. The detailed time schedule shall be prepared by the coordinator of the Pre-Conference Workshop.

The coordinator of the pre-conference workshop is required to have web-account at the official website of the APPI appi.org.in. This is required to ensure timely and fail-safe communication.
Method of Submission
The coordinator of the pre-conference workshop will be required to submit the following information through online submission portal. The process of submission consists of the following steps:

Step 2: Information related to expertise and experience of the resource persons
It is expected that the coordinator and team of the Pre-Conference Workshop has the requisite expertise and experience in the skills that will be showcased. A brief write-up elaborating the expertise and experience of lab/facility/resource person including related publication/routine work is required to be submitted. This information shall be used for wider publicity of the Pre-Conference Workshop.
Step 3 : Information related to facilities available at the venue of Pre-Conference Workshops
It is expected that the coordinator and team of the Pre-Conference Workshop have requisite resources to host the Pre-Conference Workshops. A brief write-up describing the workspace/equipment etc (including photographs if deemed useful) is required to be submitted. This information shall be used for wider publicity of the Pre-Conference Workshop.

Step 4 : Confirmation of details and submission
The coordinator will confirm the information provided and complete the submission. An additional text box will be provided for any other information that the coordinator may wish to share with the APPI and organizers of the APPICON.
The Coordinator will be required to submit write-ups of the content of the workshop as an educational review and standard operating procedure of the demonstrated skills. This write-up will form part of the publication of the proceedings of the APPICON and will be made available on appi.org.in
